Since 2013 Royal Mail have pricing bands based on both weight and the dimensions of letters and parcels.
Large Letter:
Maximum external size is 350mm x 250mm x 25mm with a maximum weight limit of 750 grams.
They will only need a single Large Letter stamp if the total end weight is under 100 grams, and can be sent in a Royal Mail post box, if over 100 grams it would need to be at the post office.
EvRi postable parcels are also letterbox friendly, to fit within with following dimensions:
max width 23cm, max length 35cm, depth between 1cm to 3cm and max weight of 1000 grams.
The DL size is consider a standard letter envelope size and accepts A4 paper folded into thirds.
