Originally developed for Theoben air rifles.
The recoil produced by some rifles, in particular spring piston and gas ram precision air rifles, is sufficient to damage even a good quality rifle scopes internal mechanism and even break the reticle.
Some shooters suffer with several broken reticules in an attempt to mount a rifle scope on their chosen rifle.
The solution is a Sportsmatch 'Dampa Mount' which features precision machined slideway and high-grade rubber bushes which allow the rifle scope to move slightly, but return to precisely the same position and therefore not transmit the recoil to the rifle scope.
There are three models available, to suit rifle scopes with a 1" or 30mm body tube diameter and a version to suit Weaver / Picatinny rails.
