| YELLOW | a non sharpening paste, used as a conditioner to keep your strop smooth and prevent it drying out and cracking on the leather side. |
| WHITE / GREY | is used on the canvas side of your strop to polish the razor edge. |
| BLACK | a fine paste, used in the last stage before polishing, requires a separate strop from your everyday use one. |
| RED | a medium-fine paste, used in second stage of restoring a very dull edge, requires a separate strop from your everyday use one. |
| GREEN | the coarsest paste, used only for restoring very dull razor edges on the leather side of your strop, requires a separate strop from your everyday use one. |
