The majority of UK airguns, rimfire rifles and some smaller calibre centerfire rifles (.17, .17HMR, .22WMR, .22LR, .222Rem, .243Win) are usually 1/2 UNF (1/2x20 TPI), then larger calibers (.30>) are usually 1/2x28 UNEF or 5/8x24 as the next most common, if threaded at all, and of course if not re-threaded.
The majority of USA airguns, rimfire and smaller calibre centerfire rifles would likely be 1/2 UNEF (1/2x28).

IMPORTANT INFO:
Please Note: we do not sell silencers, you would need to go to your local gun shop.
Please always verify the adapter and muzzle device you have and intend to use is suitable for the calibre and always insure perfect alignment before use.

THREAD CARE:
Before use, clean the threads with a light oil or isopropyl alcohol, with a clean lint free cloth.
Fitting a silencer / moderator / muzzle brake, etc, should not take force, they should rotate on smoothly to avoid cross threading or galling.
To prevent galling, which is seizing / cold welding of threads, caused by friction and high pressure, it's recommended to apply an anti-seize compound, lubricant or moly grease to threads, you would only need to add a small amount.
Techniques to remove a stuck silencer: a gunsmith is likely the best solution but if not possible, soaking overnight in a penetrating oil, the use of a strap wrench, or carefully heating with a propane torch, or even a hairdryer for a few minutes, can help break the bond.
If fitted to a thread adapter, and so possible to place is a freezer first, then just heat the adapter, the temperature difference should help.

THE MORE COMMON THREAD TYPES:
1/2-20 TPI = UNF ~ Unified National Fine thread.
1/2-28 TPI = UNEF ~ Unified National Extra Fine thread.
5/8-18 TPI = UNF ~ 18 threads per inch.
5/8-24 TPI = UNEF ~ 24 threads per inch.
5/8-24 TPI = many barrel cleaning solvent traps.
3/4-16 TPI = many metal oil filters (Chrysler, Ford, Jeep, etc).
13/16-16 TPI = other metal oil filters (AMC, GM, WIX etc).

LEFTY LOOSEY v RIGHTY TIGHTY:
Right hand (RH) / clockwise (CW) / positive (+) tighten by turning clockwise.
Left hand (LH) / anticlockwise / counter-clockwise (CCW) / negative (-) tighten by turning anticlockwise.
This applies to the silencer (etc) rotating, when looking at the front of the muzzle.
M14 x 1LH (Left Hand) are 14mm CCW.

AK THREADS:
M14 x 1.0 lefthand are usually for AK rifles, but please note that the wide range of AK rifle manufacturers use several different thread types: 24x1.5mm L/H, 22.5x1.5mm, 13x1mm R/H etc.
M14 threads are also the most popular for airsoft rifles, AEGs and GBBs, they are usually male 14mm CCW (LH / Left Hand) thread, however please note that some brands use 14mm CW (RH / Right Hand) thread, we do have adapters to convert if needed: CW ◄► CCW Adapters.
