We have a couple of the alloy 1/2x20 UNF that have been slightly mis-threaded, possible just needing chasing with a tap to clean, available for free if added to an order.

Choice of 1/2″x20 TPI, 1/2″x28 TPI or 5/8″x24 TPI thread protectors.

To protect the muzzles / adapters threads when silencer, muzzle brake, flash hiders, compensator, etc are removed.

Choice for a wide range of calibers.

Knurled grip design.

Finish ~ black anodised.

THREAD INFO:

1/2-20 TPI = UNF ~ Unified National Fine thread.

1/2-28 TPI = UNEF ~ Unified National Extra Fine thread.

5/8-18 TPI = UNF ~ 18 threads per inch.

5/8-24 TPI = UNEF ~ 24 threads per inch.

The Remington 700 in .223 is usually 1/2x28″ and then .30 cal and above is usually 5/8x24″.

The Howa 1500 should be factory threaded for 1/2″x28 UNEF on standard barrels and then 5/8″x24 UNEF threaded on heavy barrels.

1/2-20 UNF ~ ALLOY:

This type of thread guard is often for air rifles and pistols.

Please Note: Although we would have expected it to, on last testing the 5/8″ x 24 UNEF guard wont fit the Ruger PRC, the guard internal diameter was slightly too narrow to fit.

M14x1 CCW ~ ALLOY:

M14x1 threaded barrels are found on many European rifles and handguns, although please check the length required to cover the threads, as M14x1 pistols threads are usually closer to 11.1mm, and rifles 15.9mm (current stock are 11.5mm long).

Also check if a 14mm left hand thread or right hand thread, as we can supply either.

Known by a few names ~ 14mm CCW, M14x1 Left Hand, M14x100 LH.

Also a common thread on many airsoft rifles and pistols.
