Choice of 1/2″ ~ 20 TPI, 1/2″ ~ 28 TPI or 5/8″ ~ 24 TPI American thread protector.

These steel guards have a matt finish, alloy guards usually have a glossier finish.

Choice for up to .223 or .308 cal and over.

To protect the muzzles / adapters threads when muzzle brake, flash hiders, compensator, etc are removed.

1/2-20 TPI = UNF ~ Unified National Fine thread.

1/2-28 TPI = UNEF ~ Unified National Extra Fine thread.

5/8-18 TPI = UNF ~ 18 threads per inch.

5/8-24 TPI = UNEF ~ 24 threads per inch.

Although we would have expected it to, on last testing the 5/8″ x 24 UNEF guard wont fit the Ruger PRC, the guard internal diameter was slightly too narrow to fit.
